Gambia Fashion Awards is incorporated under Trace Thullah, a non-profit organisation founded by Yusuf Thullah, a former Gambian top model who retired from modelling in 2016.. The Awards were created to elevate and celebrate the best talent in Gambian fashion, including designers, models, make-up artists, accessory designers, hair stylists, fashion photographers, brands, celebrities who have embraced Gambian fashion, and other creative professionals shaping the industry.

Rooted in Gambian heritage and inspired by global fashion standards, the Awards provide a platform for both emerging and established talent. It is more than a ceremony—it is a movement that recognises excellence, fosters collaboration, and inspires innovation.
